The Capital Area Iowa Club has a long history of helping local area students connect and attend the University of Iowa. From college fairs to intern events, we work with students in all parts of their academic career before becoming alumni. See below for more details.

Intern Buddy ProgramFor over 8 years, the CAIC has partnered with the Washington Center of DC along with other programs at the University to welcome interns to DC. We partner them up with local alumni to answer questions about the city, help network, and just be a mentor in a very hectic time away from Iowa. ASIST / College Fairs
The University of Iowa has started a pipeline from DC to Iowa City and its not just athletics. Over 50 students make the pilgrimage to the heartland to continue their education and that number has steadily grown in the past few years. Some students have family that help draw them to Iowa, but others learn about our alma mater at their high school college fairs. The ASIST program useslocal alumni to help man those tables and share the fun that is Iowa City and possibilities each student has there.
