Hawkeye fans started college sports’ best new tradition last year by waving at the end of the first quarter to the kids in the Children's Hospital next to Kinnick Stadium. This year, we look to build upon that tradition and extend the Iowa Wave to Washington D.C. Join us as we gather to record a video to send to the Athletic Department to play on the jumbotron during the wave. We are still ironing out the details, so please check back often.
Although not required, we ask you to RSVP so we can get an estimated headcount on how many people to expect. It will help determine where we can record the wave. We will also be planning an after event at a nearby restaurant to cool off with some food and drinks and take donations to send to the Children's Hospital. More details to come on those items soon.
